WAYS TO SERVE

One of the very best ways to get involved is to engage in one of our many serving opportunities - whether it be the Hospitality Team, Wednesday night Arabic Student Tutoring, or Jobs for Life, just to name a few. How will you pitch in to the work of serving one another and loving our neighbors? Check out some of our opportunities here:

ARABIC STUDENT HOMEWORK TUTORING
For this program, tutors are matched with a student, and each Wednesday evening, they meet together and tutors help their students with their homework. We continually find ourselves with more students than tutors, so your help is very much needed! No experience necessary! To help out, contact Andi Redmond.

TECH TEAM
Have an interest in tech and looking for a way to plug in on Sunday
mornings? We’re actively looking for folks to serve as part of a
growing tech team, making sure everything runs smoothly and
sounds great in the Sanctuary. No experience necessary— just be
teachable! To sign up, contact Alex Sawyer.

JOBS FOR LIFE
Jobs for Life is our 12-week relationally based job-preparedness ministry, and it takes a lot of hard work to host. A large variety of roles are needed! See more here.

Become a language conversation partner for international students. Contact Elaine Metcalf to get involved.

HOSPITALITY TEAM
There may be no better way to meet people at Third than by
volunteering to serve during the fellowship hour after the 8:45 and 10:00 services. It is an easy way to get engaged— plus it’s filled with coffee! Because they’ve been so successful, we have need for several more volunteers. To sign up, contact Aggie Cullen.

WELCOMING TEAM
Smiling door openers, welcomers, and point-in-the-right
direction-ers needed prior to each service. You’ll get to greet new faces and make sure everyone knows where to go! This is such an important component of a newcomer’s experience at Third. Help us make it great. To sign up, contact Maria Hill or Elizabeth Massie.

FUNERAL RECEPTION TEAM
Adele Calhoun said, “Hospitality is creating emotionally safe
spaces for others.” Come and practice this hospitality with the
funeral reception team. Volunteers are needed throughout the
year to help with luncheon receptions following funerals. What a
practical way of loving and serving each other at Third, and the
families appreciate it so much. To sign up, contact Monica Murphy.
